"Services for local lounge icon Mary Kaye are set for Saturday at Palm Mortuary. Public viewing will be held from 11 a.m. to 12:50 p.m., with services immediately following. Kaye, a singer and guitarist, died last week at age 83. She fronted the Mary Kaye Trio, considered the first lounge act in Las Vegas. The family asks that, in lieu of flowers, donations to the family to defray funeral costs be made at Palm Northwest Mortuary in Las Vegas or by calling 561-3550."
