Well, for the Verizon acct on this laptop anyway.
The IMAP aol one needs to be set 'my server requires authentication' and "same settings" has to be unchecked...it needs the one below- "log on using" ...and ssl unchecked. That's how it's worked for over a year...and i haven't touched anything .
I left it on all night...still have the same 4 emails sitting in my outbox from 10:30pm.
Incoming- no problem.
Outgoing- same problem.
This morning I can't even open emails...it's saying unable to connect to server & I'm in offline mode...which it must've done overnight. Thing has a mind of its own.
I just woke up....grrrr.
Going to grab coffee and I'll email you when connected through IE......
