I feel that the chip below, from my collection, is an error. I could also see it being called bad craftmanship as you did. The chip below though is unusual & something you don't see too often. The off center Hard Rock chip in the is not really that unusual. Off center chips to that degree, can be found in just about any new Paul-Son release.
