Got a couple nice horseshoe chips from Kenny Francis -- nothing top end, but nice all the same.
Got the bubble padded envelope in the mail, and it had a peculiar dark postage label, but all seemed OK otherwise. As I opened it, the bubble pack seemed to stick together but I could pull it apart. Then I saw some strange rootbeer colored plastic flips. It was my first deal with Kenny so I figured he was a bit eccentric.
Then I checked out the chips -- they had melted! Check the scan below for the evidence.
Best I can guess is that there was some sort of heater employed enroute, and this was the package nearest the heat. South Carolina to Virginia, though, so it's not as if it was in a facility in Minnesota or other arctic climate.
Since I didn't insure, no recourse with USPS, right?
Thanks
Mark
