I returned home yesterday from a two week trip to Nevada and California. Weather was great everywhere I went - no rain , no snow and temps in the 60's and 70's.
I had a great trip and put over 2000 miles on the rental car (2007 Chrysler Aspen with a big Hemi engine) . That was one powerful vehicle - I passed a couple of trucks on Hwy 95 heading for Reno and looked down at the speeedometer and it was at 110 WOOOOO!!!!
I saw a lot of my chip collecting friends, visted some old friends in California, enjoyed the Chip Chat Auction, Superbowl Chip Show and of course the Superbowl (won $200.00 bet on the Colts).
I stopped over in Las Vegas, Carson City, Lake Tahoe, Gardnerville, Reno, Los Altos, CA, Santa Barbara, Ca, Los Angeles, CA, Hesperia, CA, Laughlin, NV and finished up back in Las Vegas
Along the way I picked up a bunch of really fabulous chips for my collection - I'll be showing scans of some of the better, unusual ones here over the next week or so.
I also Harvested a mess of Roulette chips - which I will have for Sale or possible trade.
Keep looking for the posts under the heading of "My Superbowl Trip Stuff".
Also, let's have a contest - guess the total number of chips I picked up and purchased during the two week excursion. The winner will get a prize package containing a few chips I picked up on my trip. I'll post a scan of the prize chips later today.
I love being retired and I love this Hobby !!!
Take care and keep watching.
