We all know the montra of never reply to an email that is sent directly to your email address, but to log on to ebay, and then check under My ebay for messages.

However, this message was ON my ebay. It refered to one of my auctions and within the email was a link to what the sender claimed was a similiar item. Of course, the link was to an external ebay look alike site trying to get a persons user id / password.

So far, several emails to ebay have only resulted in the usual canned responses with links to information that I already know and no action taken to date by ebay to get this person out of ebay before they actually do get someone's id and password.

Bottom line is, not even My ebay is safe any more, and ebay does not seem to give a tinkers darn.
