I have a very good friend who is working on the fundraiser to assist the family of Metra Police Officer Thomas Cook, who was killed in the line of duty.

Officer Cook was a 12 year veteran, who served in the Chicago area as a Metra Officer and with the Riverdale Police. Thomas was also a husband and a father to two young children.

There will be a fundraiser April 20th, 3-11 pm.

They will be doing an auction, a 50/50 drawing, and there will be food and drink.

My friend Tricia is assisting in obtaining itewms that may be used for the auction. I offered to share this information with all of you. I have attended the funeral of an officer, I have friends who risk their lives everyday. Von, our good natured friend here, as well as others in the hobby, are included in that group.
