MGM Mirage announced this morning it would close the Nevada Landing casino in Jean and develop 166 acres into a master-planned community 25 miles south of Las Vegas. Polo Towers developer Steven Cloobeck and the Greenspuns are partners in the project. The casino will close in April and the 300 employees can transfer to other MGM Mirage properties. The Gold Strike will remain open.
