Tonight's note is a pretty new one. So new I don't have all the details yet about it yet. It was just so colorful and pretty I couldn't help but share it with you early! It is going to be on my 'Favorites' list for sure!

Tonight's note comes from the Eurasian country of Kazakhstan (or part of "White Russia"). The Republic of Kazakhstan is bordered to the west by the Caspian Sea and Russia, to the north by Russia, in the east by the People's Republic of China and the south by Uzbekistan and Kirghizia.

Religions: Sunni Muslim 47, Russian Orthodox, Protestant
Status: UN Country

The note is a 200 Tenge and was just issued in 2006 and is just now making it's debut around the world. The front is in Vertical format with the domination '200' incorporated in its design. Upper right (Blue) is the Kazakhstan flag, Mid-Center is the Kazakhstan coat of arms. The tower with the sphere I am still researching. At bottom is a hand with multi-language writing which I am also researching. The back contains a map of Kazakhstan with a picture of fields and mountains within and a mythical winged tiger in the foreground. Book Value for an Uncirculated note is probably around $5.00.
