Hank Messick's book, Razzle Dazzle, gives a an interesting, although somewhat self-serving, account of the Ratterman story and other stories leading to a cleanup of gambling in the Newport area. I have a first edition of this book, and also an ex-libra edition of Syndicate Wife, the story of Ann Coppola, wife of 'Trigger Mike' Coppola. Both have close ties to gambling in the Newport area.
I am making both available to CCGTCC members to read. All I ask is shipping and delivery confirmation in both directions. The current street price for a copy of Razzle Dazzle is over $200, and I got my copy of Syndicate Wife from the National Library of New Zealand, printed in the UK. I don't want to lose either of them.
When I croak I plan on donating both to the CCGTCC Library.
