So, are you suggesting that the Stardust in Newport was a fantasy? You were there, I wasn't, and you seem to remember those times pretty well, so I have no reason to doubt you.

Like you, the only chips I've seen from there have been uncirculated, which is kind of suspicious. And, the only reference to the Stardust I've seen outside chipping circles was the same article you mentioned about Sally Rand. And that article said she danced there in 1965.

That doesn't tell me anything about it for the period of the beginning of time until 1965 - 8 years after the Stardust in Vegas opened.
