I know that Moe Dalitz and his Cleveland friends had interests in Newport, Kentucky.
I also know that Dalitz and his friends loaned Tony Cornero money to build the Starlight in Las Vegas.
I know that Tony Cornero died under mysterious circumstances while shooting craps on the same day he asked for more money to finish the Starlight.
I know that Moe Dalitz's friends walked in and took over Cornero's unfinished place after he died.
I also know that when Moe Dalitz and his friends took over they decided to change the name from the Starlight to the Stardust before it opened.
I also know that there was an illegal casino back in Newport named the Stardust.
And, I also know that when the Stardust opened in Las Vegas it used same name and virtually the same logo as the Stardust back in Newport.
What I don't know is what connection Dalitz and his friends had with the Stardust back in Newport, and whether this may have influenced both the naming and the design of the logo for the Stardust.
Can anyone help me out on this?
Thanks in advance.
