I am arriving in Miami with wife and 8 year old daughter on Thursday March 22, late afternoon.
We leave Miami on a poker cruise on Sunday a.m. March 25.
So far I have not booked any accomodation for the 3 nights inbetween as we are still debating what to do.
Concencus is it would be nice to see something of the everglades, and they want to see around an Indian reservation also.
Looks like Miccosukee is the best value for money hotel in the area, and is ideally placed. We would have a car anyway. Never having been in the area, all I have to go on is what Ive read on the web.
Has anyone stayed there or spent much time there? Would you recommend it, or anywhere else?
Is it practical to see much of the everglades by car from there? We would be carrying clothing etc. for a caribbean cruise. Would that be suitable or not?
Or, any other suggestions?
Email me or reply here.
Also, when the cruise docks on Sunday 1st April, we will not be flying out until the day after, evening time. Have made no arrangements yet for that night.
Anyone from Florida within reach of where we will be is welcome to meet up during any of our 'land time'
