Public bulletin boards make for public exposure.

You can't necessarily post something for one person's eyes, and not expect other folks to see it, nor can you expect a controversial subject or post to be ignored if it touches the sensibilities of the public that reads it.

It's the double-edged sword of Al Gore's Internet ;)
