Ok, now I have always though new guys should be seen and not heard, and for a month now I have kept to my own mantra, but today was re-darn-diculous. Now being new, I have no bias to any of the canidates, and since I am so new I might not even vote in the election. So these thought are based just on observations made here.

Ok, during an election year, in any organization from this one, to the rotary club, to high school class elections, things are going to be said that may be hurtful, and bring friends to the breaking point. Anytime you ask people to make a stand for judgement by others there are bound to be hurt feelings and srguments.

With that said here is what I saw in today's exchanges. I saw a member ask the group how things went at a club meeting. I saw a new member voice enthusiasm about his first ever chip meeting, and thanking the membership at that meeting for a great day. I saw an elder member recognize the new member and continue the warm welcome. Then others chose to turn things negative and use it as a chance to further their agenda. It is amazing how quickly a positive can go to a negative.

I have a suggestion, on this board lets have at it once and for all. I purpose that over the next few days the membership discuss three main issues they would like to hear the canidates respond to on the board. Then each canidate can respond and rebut. Then we can move on.
