It is YOU ... and YOU only Joe who is claiming that candidates for club office should be attending these privately run, non-club sponsored major events ... not your opposition.
Joe; When Jim Reilly ran for the President of CC & GTCC office ... he came all the way from California at his own expense to address the A.C. Club meeting and to introduce himself to the A.C. membership and asked for their support.
When Jim Steffner ran for club office, he travelled from Nevada at his own expense to address the A.C. club membership in an effort to solicit their support.
When John Zoesch ran for club office, he came from Tennessee at his own expense to address the A.C. club membership and solicited their support.
When Nate Pincus ran for club office he made several trips from Pennsylvania at his own expense to address the A.C. membership.
None of these candidates were obligated to come to Atlantic City ... nor are any of the current officers obligated to attend the privately sponsored Super Bowl chip show simply because you are going to be there. I hope that you meet many of your supporters at the show in Las Vegas next week and that you are able to persuade some of the fence sitters to see things the way you see them and vote for you.
However, from what I've seen and read ... your idea of campaigning is to offend as many club members as possible and accuse those who disagree with you as belonging to a "click" (clique) and your "not being afraid of standing up" ... which nobody knows what the h@ll you are standing up for.
Good luck Joe ... but please leave my wife's name out of your non-sensical campaign rhetoric.
