You know Rick, I have found that too, many have downgraded mine, and upgraded theirs when in fact all things were equal. HOWEVER....those, for me, are few and far between, and I have no problem rejecting their offer. I've had quite a few times where I've stated this doesn't seem to be working out, maybe we can do something in the future.
Many, many people are more then fair. I will go so far as to say some have been more than fair in their offers and I have had to say take a couple more to equal things out.
I like to trade current for current, and obsolete for obsoletes, making actual "value" as close as possible.
Then...enter in the "friend factor". I could care less if my good friends are equal trades. I could care less if I get anything in return for any common chips. You want it? fine. it's yours. (Something tells me, I'm going to get a lot of new friends now LOL). With friends....I'm happy to pick up as many chips as they like, and I expect nothing in return. I try to keep track of what I owe when they pick me up chips, and sometimes, I have to force my friends to take the money. That's what this hobby has done for many, many of us chippers. It's what makes this hobby so addicting. sure, these little round pieces of clay are pretty cool, but it's the camaraderie and the thrill of the chase that keeps it all exciting for me.
Rick, I've traded with you a few times at, and I've always found you easy going and fair. Don't let a few inexperienced traders ruin it for you.
