Americans who can E-file their taxes online for free?

The IRS now allows companies to do it for you, basically if your adjusted gross is less than $52,000 for a couple. They list the approved companies on their IRS.gov website.

I used TAXSLAYER.COM yesterday and in about 40 minutes, both my Federal and KY State taxes have been calculated and filed for free. Received notice from IRS that Fed was accepted already. Will direct deposit refund into bank account.

Turbo Tax's Days of charging you for a new program each year, will be affected greatly.
