why can't I help? I have represented folks successfully a number of times when they have been charged with leaving the scene (a criminal offense). The civil aspect, most people believe that they will get a large chunk of change. In most cases what they'll get it their actual loss, and leaving the scene won't play into the amount. Their insurer will handle the matter. If no insurance, you are f**ked.
I hope you are physically OK (the important thing), and I hope they are dealt with appropriate for leaving the scene, but I did want you to have a realistic expectation. The stereotype is not always the same as reality.
