I was accepting only "Paypal or U. S. cash" from bidders outside the U.S.A. Can't take cash, eBay tells me. I revised all my current auction descriptions by deleting the cash reference. THOSE AUCTIONS CANCELED BY EBAY WILL BE BACK UP TOMORROW EVENING as 5 day auctions. (3 out of 35 auctions were cancelled.) Anyone bidding on those canceled auctions should have received a message from eBay stating that eBay removed the auction listing. Now you know why.
