Decided I wanted to track this place down and Alan Anderson provided some good directions. This is at the South Shore part of Tahoe just as you turn off the highway to the airport. I kind of get the feeling that this was more of a club for the gaming folks that lived at Tahoe and worked Harvey’s, Harrah’s etc. Wouldn’t seem there was much to do during the season like there would be down in Reno. I found a quote from Reno historian about The Glass Crutch and he stated words to the effect that folks used to go here and “drink like fish”. With that cool beatnick sax player that showed up on the chips and the AA-type moniker, I can image this place was jumping! “Pretzel Logic” Kieth came up with the info that the place now serves as a storage area for Harvey’s. Maybe you can hear that sax echo just after midnight if everything is quiet enough.
