Finally got the pics back from my recently retired film camera and here are some from the last year. This one is the entrance to Cal-Neva. They're swinging hammers up there these days. Got a new owner who's spending $14 Million in renovations. He claims to be a Sinatra fan so hoping that some of the old timey feel of this place will remain. This view is easily recognizable from the '30's construction photos and it's easy to envision all the stars and wiseguys coming and going. From this angle, the rest of the Crystal Bay joints are just at your back and the whole street looks just like a '50-'60's postcard. Tahoe Biltmore is my fav for ghost hunting with Crystal Bay Club just across the street. Very cool to take Mt. Rose Hwy up here. Once got lost coming outta the Hyatt (used to be Kings Castle) and ended up cruising N. on Shore Drive where many fabulous homes have a money view of the Lake, try it!
