If you're established as a "player" at Harrahs, ask your host to invite you to come to Reno on the next "chartered bus" that Harrahs arranges from time to time from N. Nevada and California. I don't know how much front money you have to put up but probably a few thousand (or equivalent credit line). I don't personally take the bus offers, so don't have the specifics.
Sometimes you can get oddball NCV's by agreeing to take a timeshare tour from a company that has a booth in a casino hotel. You offer them a couple hours of your time and at the end, you get some NCV's from the casino whether you make a timeshare commitment or not. Venetian in Las Vegas is one I know does this. Caesars Tahoe used to as well.
