sounds like you don't get enough oxygen.
I have long ties to Purdue University-I have 2 degrees, my dad has 2, my mom 1, a grandfather was the head of the Psychology dept, another ancester was a freshman there in 1919. I have one relative who attended some classes in the 1890's.
My brother cares nothing for sports, he is the antitheses of you and I. He viewed my attitudes as sports fanaticsm. He is an artist, and when he decided to go to college, he was accepted to the Herron School of Art. A great school located in Indianapolis. It is part of the IU system.
Purdue hates IU, it is our rival. I have tried to draw him into that banter which is oh so common among sports fans. He could care less.
But I noted that when he graduated, and IU had all that silly rah rah stuff, he sat thru it, and didn't stand like all the IU people. I was so proud.
