Out of curiosity, I followed that link (why the hell do you have that link anyway?) and it's an analog of our own club website for the National Insulator Association, which is a club for collectors of these things.
They had some .pdf's of some past issues of their own quarterly club magazine, which REALLY makes you appreciate our own CC&TN. By degree, the size of their membership (about 1,000 members) is not far from ours. They have an annual convention, local clubs and shows, etc.
In looking through their periodical, called Drip Points, I found it amazing that people actually collect these odd glass items and are as dedicated to the hobby as we all are to our own. I went to find some on eBay, and, sure enough, there are lots of them listed, priced up to $2,500. And just like casino memorabilia, there's a history behind these things, too.
I've always worried about people's reactions when I tell them that I collect casino chips... that they might find our hobby as weird a pursuit as I found collecting insulators. It kinda puts things in perspective, though. Check out the website!
