Apparently so. He was given a bona fide Second Chance offer 4 days after the close of the primary auction. He was given 3 days to decide. A day later he was emailed that there was a price reduction and that if he opted for the offer, he would not have to pay the $50, but $35 instead.
Today he opted for the $50 (apparently responding to the Second Chance offer) and then emailed to say he got the reduction notice but had already clicked the Offer and could he have it at the $35.
So, you are correct, he is a happy camper, but not for the 'sour grapes' reason you cite.
