With the availability of the “new” manufacture records, I’ve dusted off the research started a couple years ago on the 400 dice dies I picked up from Marion in 2004. Although many of the dies have been ID’d, a vast number of the illegals remain allusive. Hopefully the new information will be helpful in this project.

If you aren’t familiar with the dice dies, here’s the short ... years ago, I bought the entire dice die inventory of ACE Sport Works, Rigdon, H.C. Edwards and Marion from Ed Weinstein of Marion and Company. Buying them sight unseen, the collection turned out to be an incredible array of illegals, foreign, Nevada and unknowns dating as far back as the 30’s. With the generous help from Mark Lighterman, I offered quite a few of them for sale a year and a half ago. Since then, they have been in storage. It’s time to get them out again.
