I just downloaded the latest version of Adobe Reader v 8.0 and got a number of errors in viewing your PDF files. It's possible that Adobe has changed some minor standards for the PDF; you might want to get this version if you aren't already using it to see if you get the same problem. On my machine, it aborts the Reader program on at least the HCE file.
