Stayed at an Isle Verde resort - and loved it; El San Juan good but not the best casino but a fun friendly and big resort. We stayed at the Intercontinental; better for kids, I thinnk, but ate and played at the El San Juan and down the street at the big big Sheraton which had the best casino. The El San Juan seemed very good for adults. We went in February, 2005 and were told to avoid the hurricane months that start sometime in June.

Be sure to visit Old San Juan - great food - great shops; museums (including the fort) Traffic can be a problem in the morning and afternoon rush - it took me 45 minutes to go to Old San Juan one afternoon but just 15 minutes back late at night. We would taxi to Old San Juan and then walk and walk. On the days that the cruise liners come in the sea front in Old San Juan is fun as there are a ton of stalls, street vendors, etc.
