My cousin just came back from a short cruise on the Princess Cruise lines out of Galveston Texas (Golden Princess). He brought back some $1 chips he used on the craps table (Shown below). I questioned him about them and he assures me they were uses as $1 craps chips and he did not once play roulette, and that he cashed in many more of the same chip at the cage.
According to the pictures John Kallman shows in the chip guide this is clearly a non-denominational roulette chip. How common it it for these to be used on other table games? This color must have been retired from the roulette table to be used elsewhere (I guess). Also, this color and edge marking is not in the chip guide.
It seems odd to me. Any Comments?
