I have had a few dealings with Tracy. One I had a problem with. He sent me some chips he said were uncirculated, but to a chip collector clearly were not. I sent them back, and Tracy made right with me by finding others that I needed.
As far as the "two chip" mix-up, let's not forget how hard it is to get the Hooter's chip in the first place. I ordered one from Tracy, but was told it wouldn't be mailed out until after his vacation around Dec. 22nd. I assumed he planned on picking up the Hooter's chips while he was away. I sent a check out to him for $15.00 (The cheapest I have paid for a Hooters chip since February) and waited for his email.
Did I know if he would be able to get the chip? No, this in my eyes was considered a pre-order, and who knows what can happen when you offer to sell chips you do not have in your hands yet.
Thanks to Tracy I did get the last chip I needed for the set. I have seen others trying to sell them for $18.00. I think Steven should have just accepted the one chip with the refund, and tried to pick up one of those. How much did he pay for each of the other Hooters chips in his collection? I know I couldn't afford two chips to show both sides.
He would rather make Tracy look like a deceiver, and a person to avoid, rather than pay an extra $3.00 for a second chip. How's that for the holiday spirit?
Personally I commend Tracy for trying to please as many chippers as he could with the amount of chips he could obtain. Of course, if Steven was really "tight" with Tracy, then I am sure he would have got his second chip. My guess is that there are many deals/bargains amoung those in certain chip collecting circles that are not offered to other chippers on the chipboard.
I am sorry that Steven was unable to get his second chip from Tracy, but I have no doubt he will get them both at the same price somewhere else.
Anyway Tracy, try not to let the one spoil it for the rest of us. I hope you continue to post any chips you have to sell, and continue to help as many chippers with their collections as you do. This is an international club, and you can't please everyone the same.
Merry Christmas to all,
Glenn
