A strong, dedicated, knowledgeable Board of Directors is critical to the operation and stability of the . Also extremely important is continuity: institutional memory is a significant factor in the success of organizations. We know that three of the five Board members taking office in 2007 will be new to the Board. I applaud Jay, Sunday and Doug for offering their services to the Club. Only two - Wayne Thompson and Belinda Hixon - are not running unopposed, and only they have previous experience as Board members. In addition, they both have a long history of service to the Club and to the hobby. They've held numerous positions over the years, and have always done an excellent job at whatever they've committed to doing for the Club. Both Wayne and Belinda are ÒteamÓ players, which translates into officers that work and will continue to work for the betterment of the Club and the hobby. I have been proud to serve with both of them.
