that amazed me also.
Several people made a decision based on fact and then later came to the defense of that person when they found out who they were.
I have a hard time understanding how someone can feel strongly about something and then change their mind because of the people involved.
I have a lot of friends in this hobby whom I hold in the highest regard, however if one of them were to do this to me, I would feel the same way.
Once again, I understand why it was done and the intentions may have been honorable. However in my opinion the situation was handled VERY poorly by the seller.
If someone accepts a contract (Written or verbal) and then completes the contract by not only accepting payment, but completing the transaction by cashing the check, the deal is DONE.
If the seller is simple unable to complete the contract because he lost the chip or the chip was stolen then there may be a valid reason not to complete the transaction.
But, to claim that you underestimated the requests and choose to distribute a different way.......... In my book that is just plan wrong, no matter how good the intentions were.
Once again just my humble opinion.
Take care and happy chipping,
Doug
