Those chips are easly identified by anyone with a little knowlage of chips.
For someone who knows nothing I can see a problem but if they are going to spend that kind of money they should know what the hell they are doing.
For exsample the WSOP chips are made on ceramics since that is the only way we can get as close as possible to the look of the real thing but everyone knows the real wsop's are BJ's.
Now if the wsop would sell the old chips to the public they would not even make the fakes.
The fake wsop's made by matsui have totally different edgespots.
For me personally my cash game sets are real casino at great expense and my tourney chips are the faux clays.
Although the tourney set may change if I ever see a set I like.
