Pun intended, but where have I suggested policing actions?
Here are extracts from my various campaigning posts dealing with fantasy chips.
I believe that the undisclosed repair and deceitful fabrication or modification of chips can only have the undesirable effect of killing our hobby. We as a Club, perhaps through our Standards Committee need to look for methods and processes to assist the community at-large to economically and reliably detect and recognize evidence of such illicit activity. I also believe that the production of certain fantasy chips is a blight upon our hobby, and although there can be no real way to prohibit their design and manufacture, I believe that our members in good standing need to offer language and descriptions that make it perfectly clear to a potential buyer (Club member or not) the exact genesis of the item(s). I believe that our hobby should benefit from the inherent protections of the Hobby Protection Act and that we should establish a Committee to formulate a plan or approach to bring us into the Act. Just as the Building Fund project is a long-term effort, this too may well be a long-term effort, but we need to be vehemently pro-active on both of these topics.
Nothing there.
Here is another extract from my Blight Upon the Community message:
So this is what I believe to be a blight upon our community and it is rapidly approaching a plague. I am not proclaiming this to be the worst thing happening to our hobby, just as I don’t proclaim slabbing to be the worst or undisclosed chip repair (or even disclosed modification) to be the worst. But collectively, they are all working against this hobby and we as an educational-based Club need to develop and implement plans and programs to resist these activities.
We may not be able to stamp them out, or turn the tide, but we must do something and I want to be a part of the plan. I want to participate in being proactive to combat these nefarious detriments.
Whether I am elected or not, I still plan to participate in this war against The Blight, but I feel that I can be more effective in a position of trust and responsibility within the Club, as measured by the members, so I respectfully request your vote.
Again, no policing actions there.
It seems to me that I have not broached the subject and it only comes from others! And often times, just as you have done, there is an assumption that it's my concept!
Can you please show me where I have stated that I want policing actions?
Thank you for the well wishes of the Season, and my heart felt wishes to you and your family as well.
Respectfully,.
