I can't speak for the other BOD members but until this post I did know the chip had been auctioned on Ebay. It's just as realistic the BOD took no action because no one on the BOD knew of the incident and not that we condoned it.
Since I don't know the details I can't say the BOD would have done anything. But without knowledge it is a given we would take no action.
