I GUARANTEE you that the LAST thing on Jim and Sandi Steffner's mind when choosing the facilities for the annual convention is their comped room.

I know that Jim, Sandi and the board really struggle with getting the best hotel location (and quality) for the members that has ample space for the ever growing show floor and well as the costs to the club (and the members). Put on top of that the issue of the date (June is too early for some people, July, August is too hot for others etc.) It is a never ending task, Jim, Sandi and the board started to work on the 2007 convention before the 2006 convention even started! It happens like that every year.

I bet you have never met Jim or Sandi Steffner, I'm sure if you have, and talked to them for 10 minutes about the convention you would realize that they put their whole heart and soul into that convention. It's all about the club and the members, the last thing on their "agenda" is getting a comped room.
