I don't have this one but have several other design chips similarly made that Dale says were made with the old ivory designs and done on plain clay chips with or without an outer ring...they are very neat chips--looking at yours it seemed that there were some errors in the etching but since the chip is the same on both sides it appears that this is an old design chip. I certainly would never suggest that my old and respect friend would have done the work himself.
