Learned How To Spell Millennium Back In '00! vbg

I got a bunch of millennium chips from the NIS folks as I was lucky enough to come into the hobby when these puppies were being issued. Here are some of my favs. Just always thought the New Frontier chip was amazing, probably never going to see anything as dynamic coming outta that joint for a loooong time. Splurged on the Monte Carlo for several reasons. I win $$ every single time I stepped in that place! Still only have had one losing session at MC since ’97. How that Steve Wynn guy stays afloat is beyond me, I’m still sticking that fish over at the Mirage and the Wynn Resort. I ask the pit bosses not to tell Steve I’m on the property…and they never do! vbg Also there is an Ann-Margaret look-alike dealing 21 at the Monte, always sit at her table and I really dig that UFO over the casino there at 9 o’clock on the inlay.

Lucky note for you newer folks here on the ChipBoard, there used to occur THE most coma-inducing discussion about when 2k years had passed, 2000 or 2001. Snooooor

And. I really like to acquire chips from the table as I play along. I was lucky to pick up three of these examples. The fifth anniversary chip from Little Creek was a fun one. Stopped in on the way home from a PNW chipper get-together for a look around and some cards. Nice little place, had a pleasant visit and got this truly regional tribal tribute. Strikes a chord with us webfoot types. Shelton WA. is pretty typical of towns up around Puget Sound and the Olympic Peninsula, several thousand people and half a million trees. Want to see the sky? Look straight up please. The UPS guy brings sunshine into town inside those parcels he delivers. Remember that weird TV show Twin Peaks? It’s actually a documentary about Washington.

Next up for table treasures are the two Reno Fitz Millenniums. Pretty cool design to my eye. The $5 came my way in’02 and the minty, fresh from the vault greenie appeared in a color-up stack one day in ’03. In ’05 I was sitting at the table looking at a very nice $100 Mill in the dealer’s rack and regret not buying the thing then and there. However the issue of my gambling poke for the trip was in doubt and I didn’t want to lose a session later on in the trip. Of course, I prevailed as the days went along (of course!), but I still remember staring at that handsome black chip that afternoon. Sigh. The $5 LV version is store bought.

Those are my favorites, great chips and great memories.
