I'm VERY disappointed with mine. It does not reproduce some flourescent colors accurately and it produces a gray, not a white background... even if a white paper is place on top of the chips or if a towell is placed on top of the cover to block out any outside light sources from leaking in. I wrote to the manufacturer and complained and was told that the Lide scanner is not designed for 3d objects ... only primarily for flat paper documents and photos, yet I've had some good results with other color chips.
