The chip has been described here as 'counterfeit', not least by a person who argued so strongly that was the wrong definition when I used it
The chip (and other Osbourne's) were manufactured after the casinos closed, but by the original manufacturer, Bud Jones.
In general, Osbourne chips are as equally valuable as the similar but NOT identical original counterparts.
The chip in question is correctly described in the Chip Rack and James book for what it is.
Therefore, I see no way that Josh has either increased his likelihood of selling the chip or getting a better price by his description (or lack of it)
