I only visit the board a few times a week so I miss several posts, so I didn't know about the drama surrounding the whole thing until well after the fact.

All in all I would say that you are a champ for hanging in there and trying to find out as much as you can about what you have before doing too much with it. Kudos for how you have been able to sift thru all the emails, posts, questions and accusations and keep your cool for the most part.\

This is a great hobby and the more you look into it the better it gets. You are just doing things backwards from what most people do (you have really nice chips to start whereas most of us start very small and then hope to end up with a couple chips like you got) so it has been a rocky start. Keep on hanging in there, I hope everything turns out for you.
