Yes, Mark did well...but so do many others. I always feel that discussion and debate is great...as long as all parties involved do so in a polite manner, as they would act if they were in person, face to face with the group. I love that so many of our chipboard posters can discuss and debate ideas without taking things too personally. Respect is the key concept. Not only respect for the person you are responding to, but also respect for the people reading the posts. This would include all of the many unseen good people lurking in the backround who read posts, but do not usually post.
Sure, occasionally we will get a hot-headed jerk that strikes out with insults or resorts to name calling, but fortunately, that doesn't happen too often. Occasionally, people will misinterpret the writers intended tone. That's common on bulletin boards when others can't hear your tone of voice. That's one of the good reasons to utilize the smiley face.
Thanks Doug for bringing up the point. Consider this post positive reinforcement for giving positive reinforcement.
