see this thread till now as I usually dont read everything unless the topic interests me.
I understand what you are saying and agree, just about anything can be mistaken for an actual casino chip to someone without knowledge.
The very same can be held true for the Tangiers chips, Apache Chips, Rounders Chips or just about every Boreland or fantasy chip ever made. These same chips I mentioned are being sold on Ebay daily as actual casino chips and manufactured by the tens of thousands.
So I have to ask the public again, if the main objection to marbleized casino chips is that they may somehow be mistaken for real casino chips, then isnt this much less of a threat than those producing chips by the thousands?
I have to imagine with the work it takes to produce there chips there are most likely fewer Brass Cores out there than there are chips that had repaired inlays, patched drill holes or removed cancellations.
Once again I completely understand the concern, but I think we are rallying the troops to go after the lesser enemy here. While there is still a concern over the Marbleized chips, shoudnt there be a much greater concern of the tens of thousands of fantasy, reproduction and counterfeit chips that enter the marker each year?
I guess all I was trying to imply was that is it much easier to distinguish a swirled Brass Core from a real chip than one that has been made to look exactly like the original.
Thanks for the post as again, the point is well taken.
