Bob, very observant, but with a name like NITRO, The rail is a 268 inch Kern that was built to run the jegs super series, 1/8 mile, which makes it a little slow for the 1/4 mile, but still runs 7:31 @185. It was set to run 4:50 in the 1/8 I've ran 4:52 @154 with my lard A$$. 1.002 to the 60 ft mark at joliet. for those who don't know what that means in laymans terms . 0 to 70 MPH in about 60 ft. under 2.99 to the 330 ft mark. a 572 CI short deck with all the goodies inside, Big Chief heads, Alcohol injection get the job done. I detuned it and put son in law into it. Got him to 7.76 @ 175MPH in 5 passes. Most fun he will ever have with his clothes on.

The nova is a 67 sitting on a double rail frame, funny car caged,with a ton of Bickel/ Williams/ Coan componemts. It is all glass except the roof and quarters. It has, had, an assortment of engines. Has run 9.08@ 151 on 116 gas with a STOCK bottom end 502, with a set of dart 345 heads and a B&M blower with 2 barry grant 7'50's and a Coan PG. Car has run 9.392, 9.392, 9,9392, and 9.391 on 4 consecitive passes with 29* of timing. currently there is a 540CI 14.3/1 alcohol injected short deck with Brodix 345's in it. Them stock 502's with the blower don't like a 250 shot. 8.83 on a 50 shot 1.24 60 ft. Sometning to get the blower spining and the glide moving. It was the ole if 50 is good, 250 is better. lifted the lands on 6 pistons. There is a new 509, 9.7/1 alcohol blower motor ready to go. Have not put on a blower or hat yet. More then likely it will be a 10-71. 12's are two hard to find, and 14's require to many modif1cations in the distributor mounting area. They have allowed me at certain times to give rides. Many on th neighbors have had to chance to go 0 to 60 in 60 ft and 145+ in the 1/4 mile. The rail now resides with my daughter and her husband in NH. They(doctors) will never allow me back in at after opening up the squash bucket. The nova, if things go good, I feel I can still play around with it. Again,very observant Bob
