But, to give you a little history.
A very large percentage of illegals closed in 1951 due to the Keyfauver Commission hearings.
Keyfauver was pretty hard on the Detroit boys. Toledo was Detroit territory.
Elmwood, OH completely closed in 1951.
Interesting note: The Cleveland boys (Moe Dalitz, the Father Of LV) made a deal for N KY. They closed the Lookout House and the authorities would leave the other 150 casinos alone.
There was still 150 casinos in N KY per the Saturday evening Post in 1959.
