I'd say this whole thng has been a big misunderstanding. After talking with Ed all day, Our best guess is that both sets of chips came from the same estate sale. He bought his in mid-october and i'm betting the dealer I bought them from bought them and put them out for sale on the next rose bowl flea market. I one I bought them from. I'm guessing it was a casino employee or someone that worked there. All the chips are from the star broiler and the winner's inn. All of his are different denominations than what I had, excluding the coveted Star broilers $1, which had a few in each box.

I'm waiting for the detective to call me back to officially clear this up, but as far as I'm concerned the chips I bought were not stolen from Ed. I can't speak for him, but I think he's in agreement. Keep an eye out for the $1 broilers. They'll be coming around soon enough. Not mine, but Ed's.
