For those of you who don't remember - this metal thing was used to open room doors before the plastic ones were invented . (This particular key was "borrowed" in 1978). The little key opened the 'automated' mini-bar. So cool. Open the hinged lid, push the "Jack Daniels" button, and out rolls the miniature bottle (Automatically billed to your room of course ).
Does anyone remember and/or have one of the (green) Harrah's 'charge' cards? As I recall, they were only used for a few years. Neat thing was, you could use the card for room, food, shows, whatever. They would send an invoice after your stay. Of course the payment was required in full - no partial payments. The check cashing card is an early issue.
