"Thanks to Bush we have 2871 US dead with their families trying to find something to be greatful for this Thanksgiving, not to mention the 50,000 dead innocent civilians in Iraq trying to find something to be thankful for too."
How about the families of 3,000 innocent victims of the murderous WTC attack on 9/11/01 whose only crime was going to work on that fateful morning? Didn't those families grieve their losses as well this Thanksgiving?
As Bob Orme has pointed out ... these attacks and resulting deaths will continue long after the current President vacates the office ... and probably long after the next President vacates his office ... and possibly the President after that one.
This is going to be a long term struggle on the part of the U.S. government and our armed forces sacrifices (no matter who the sitting President is at the time) to eradicte our radical enemies ... and putting the blame on our government for these terrorist activities solves nothing. These acts of terrorism began long before Bush took office.
Have some of us with short memories forgotten Leon Klinghoffer; the elderly American who was dumped overboard while confined to his wheel chair on the Achille Lauro cruise ship by radical muslims? How about the bombings of the U.S. Embassies in Africa ... the suicide bombers of the U.S. Cole while it was in port ... and the earlier suicide bombing of the World Trade Center back in the '90's and all of the gruesome beheadings of Americans? Has anybody viewed those graphic beheadings of Americans videos on the internet? How many American citizens still want to pin the blame on George Bush for those attrocities against our U.S. citizens? Doesn't anyone remember anything before 9/11/01?? We've turned the other cheek for too long now. Do we wait until a few large casinos or stadiums are blown up in U.S.A. to give our support once again to the President?
The country needs to elect another strong President in 2008 who will continue to take the necessary action against these murderers of our fellow American citizens.
