Dennis,
Where have I said anything different than you about the hobby?
Like I said in my previous post, No one knows what I collect or really anything about me for that matter.
You see me post some high end chips once in a while because guys have asked me to post them. When they ask for low end chips I pull some out as well.
You just think I only collect high end chips only for profit? You think I don't have a passion for the hobby? Do you really believe I don't care about growing this hobby and making it the biggest and the best?
I have no hidden agendas. I don't write a price guide. I don't own a slabbing or grading service. I don’t work at or for a casino that produces limited editions chips weekly.
I love this hobby like you and so many others. I just happen to disagree with a few that regularly post on their positions and perceived power.
It was sad to see such a poor turn out at the Palms show. Not because I cared how much I sold, not the reason I go. Because it shows the hobby is just not growing like it should.
I personally sent Bill Judge a thank you email right after the show for doing the best he could. I would have sent one to Rick Olsen if I had his email as well.
Somewhere along the line (when I stood up and spoke my mind to a few) I was painted as the bad guy in this hobby just out for myself and only looking to cash in on chips. Nothing is further from the truth.
And yes, like you, I have made great friends in this hobby. And I will continue to associate myself with them and look forward to meeting so many more that share my desire to make this hobby the best it can be. Regardless if it's low end, high end or LE's
Glenn
